In the kitchen

I REALLY need to learn to check which burner I’m turning on.

(And maybe NOT put a wood cutting board on the stove?)

On the plus side . . . Our smoke alarms do recognize real smoke.

(Can I blame this on thyroid brain?)

Burner Burned Cutting Board

  1. Yes, you can totally blame this on thyroid brain…I always have to double check that I’m not burning something on our stove too. I’m notorious for it!

  2. You know, some people pay a lot of money for cool looking cutting boards! You could probably re-oil that one and keep using it for years.

AND — get yourself a hot air popcorn popper. That way you get to eat all the popcorn you want, it’s cheaper, and you can leave off the icky bad-for-you toppings. I’ve probably saved myself several hundred dollars and a heart attack since I got mine.

    • Can I sell you guys one? Actually ya know what? that’s not a bad idea! I could get Grandpa to make them, then I’ll just burn the burner design into them . . . HA!

I have been using it still though. Haven’t oiled it yet. Just been using the other side.
