2010 was, over-all, a good year. Rough in some aspects. Fabulous in others.
had surgery in February and spent the rest of the year getting back to his pre-surgery state. He’s still not totally there yet, but close. He still spends most of his time in his wheelchair, even at home. But he is able to stand up for longer periods of time now. We’re still working on the walking. It’s almost like he’s having to relearn (again) how to walk as his surgery changed his center of balance.
In keeping with Italian talk, he got a very good part-time job with the Department of Rehabilitative Services doing their payroll. We’re expecting that to go full-time this summer possibly.
We did find a new home for the Logan-butt. A friend of mine (who has 2 dogs) adopted him. I’ve not seen him since I dropped him off over there, but she says he is doing very well. They love him, but do recognize that he is psycho. Rufus-monster is happy to have the house to himself now and has become far more lovable and vocal. But that usually that has something to do with wanting to be fed.
Looking ahead to next year, we’ve got an exciting year in store.
- moving into our first house
- italian babies (no. not pregnant . . . yet)
- my side of the family grows by one
- more weight loss & organization! (HA!)
It’s going to be an full year.
Heck! It’s already a full week!
Monday – pool
Tuesday – boot camp
Wednesday – chiropractor
Thursday – boot camp
Friday – nothing?
Saturday – boot camp, pool, GAL’s lunch
See what I mean? Yeesh!
No, I’m not starting into the military. Several months back groupon had a coupon for $20 for a 4 week bootcamp with Glatter Fitness that I planned on signing up for mid-December once the bible study I was doing finished. Mid-December came and one thing or another caused me to put it off. So now, it’s the first of the year and here I go! 🙂 I’m looking forward to it.
OH! And it means I get to play in my new shoes!
Aren’t they cute?
Well, time to figure out meals for the week and pack my pool back for tomorrow.
